The Ryan Richards Foundation, Inc is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. It was founded in 2016 in order to help families fight cancer, award scholarships to a four year college, and help find a cure to cancer.
Ryan passed away at the age of 40 in October 2015 from Nut Midline Carcinoma. Nut Midline Carcinoma is an extremely rare form of cancer, with approximately 20-30 cases reported each year. He leaves behind his wife Colleen and their beautiful daughter Nora. Ryan focused his life on family, friends, sailing, running, skiing, and cheering on all Boston sports teams. Whatever the activity, he always did it with a smile and he touched everyone he knew. The outpouring of support from others during Ryan's illness, the birth of Nora, and after his death was tremendous. We are amazed how one person could affect so many lives and thus we hope to honor Ryan’s life by helping others.

Recent Recipients: Our first recipient is a 9 year old boy that came down with the same cancer as Ryan, Nut Midline Carcinoma. We are part of a large community supporting him, which included the Boston Bruins having him drop the puck at Fight Cancer Night. We are happy to report that he has recently shown promising progress in his fight, and we all continue to pray for a full recovery and remission. The other recipient is a 34 year old Mother who is suffering from Metastatic Melanoma. She is full of life and, like Ryan, has a great family and many friends. Those who know her say she too loves to have a good time, and that she continues to remain positive.
